The Step-By-Step Guide: How We Develop Your Website

This is a brief, easy to understand road map or website guide written to help you familiarize with our website development process, and how we could work together.

1. Fill out the Web Design Questionnaire – This is a bare-boned set of questions designed to bring out the ideas and knowledge in you regarding the website you want us to create. This also tell us a little about your level of website development knowledge and how we can better communicate with you. See Web Design Questionnaire

2. Discovery Meeting – After you have submitted the questionnaire, we’ll contact you to setup a discovery meeting. This 20-30 minutes phone/Skype meeting will allow us to know each other better and at the same time solidify your website goals. We’ll also talk about the best practical web marketing strategy and technology we could use for your business or website (For example facebook marketing, search engine marketing, and etc.) We are conveniently located in Quincy, MA (10 minutes from Boston, MA) and we can meet with you in person as well.

3. Review Proposal, Sign Contract, and Work Deposit

Website Development Proposal – After our Discovery meeting, we’ll e-mail or mail a website development proposal to you within two business days. In the proposal, you’ll see a professional outline of the project schedule, scope of work, and the estimated cost.
• Contract Signing – Once the proposal is reviewed and approved by you, we’ll draft a contract for you to sign as well.
• Work Deposit – Send us your work deposit (usually 50% of the estimated cost) to initiate the project. We accept bank checks, personal checks, or PayPal.

4. Review Website Draft – A preliminary sketch or blueprint of the website will be presented for you to review. This is step is similar to figuring out what each room is and where each room will be in the newly build house. This is a very most important step/stage where we work closely with you to get your website ideas down on the screen. The closer we could get the sketch to perform/work like a real website, the easier you’ll find yourself at the end of the process.

5. Review Website Look and Feel – It’s time to put on the paint the walls of each room. We should now have a solid understanding of your business, website strategy, branding, and audience. It’s time to add color, styling, and graphical elements to the website.

6. Website Development – At this stage, we bring all the approved website files to our web developers to build your website. We’ll make sure the website works and looks as planned and across all major web browsers. (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Google Chrome, and Safari)

7. Final Website Review – Once the website is fully developed, we ask for you to double check to make sure we have done everything you’ve anticipated. Once approved, the website is ready to be launched. You’ll receive a 30-days website satisfaction guarantee to make sure the website is running well.

8. Paying for the work – You will receive an final invoice via e-mail or by mail. We accept bank checks, personal checks, or PayPal.

We hope this helps and please contact us with your questions.

Please also note that this is a generalized guideline, and it will be subjected to change with or without further notification.
